We finished! I posted earlier about my daughter's birthday approaching here.
I think my husband did a fantastic job on the bed. He added extra support because we know she's going to sit on it or maybe even try to lay on it. We let her pick out the paint color and even though she didn't now why she was picking a color I think her choice turned out perfect.
I had a wonderful time making this little quilt, it was pretty easy.
I also made a mattress, pillow and pillow case. I think they all turned out pretty darn cute! I think she's going to love it!
The back of the quilt has some embroidery.
The lettering is small but it says "Happy Birthday Love, Momma"
I'm so excited and I can't wait for her birthday so I can give it to her! I hope she loves it!

Ohh...the back of the quilt is so sweet! I was just looking for bedding patterns today to make some doll bedding for my girls to go on beds we bought at IKEA. Your quilt looks so cute. I find quilts to seem intimidating though, was it hard?
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, I wish I was small enough to sleep on it :)

ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely adorable!!! I wish I had a little girl to sew like this for. I have 2 little neices but I'd never get to see them play with it so it wouldn't be as fun. Maybe someday I'll have a granddaughter to sew like this for.

I love everything. So pretty. Your daughter will spend hours playing with her doll on it. I really love how you made the mattress. I have made quite a few but never thought to sew in buttons. Thanks for the idea.
